Locking them in a soundproof box at the bottom of the garden works too.

I used to listen to Asian Network in the afternoons when I was at work constantly. Often some programmes were mostly in non-English languages, which was great, because it meant I had something to listen to but I didn't get too distracted by the lyrics or inane chatter.

I have occasionally listened to Asian stations at work, but rarely do these days as I get serious grief from others who assume I'm taking the piss - I get away with Classic FM much easier.

Which is a shame as I really like Bhangra music - I occasionally go to the pictures to see Bollywood films. And I can testify about the "calming" effect of the music - went to see a Bollywood film recently and both me and her, fell asleep half way through the second half. Although to be fair, the film was 3 hours long and finished at one o'clock in the morning.

I went to a Bhangra dance class at an Asian social club a little while back, and I can tell you all the stuff they do with their eyes when dancing just ain't natural. After I had done all the crazy eyes movement the teacher made us do, the muscles in my eyeballs really hurt - I thought I'd done some permanent damage ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Still, judging be another thread on here at the moment, some might argue that it was my fault as I have the wrong colour skin for doing that sort of stuff.

If you're in the North Manchester area you can get Crescent Radio on FM. Used to have it as a pre-set on the radio so as I got closer to Rochdale I'd remember why I moved away.

camping in snowdonia our easter there were some asian lads a few tents down. playing guitar and singing until about midnight. it was ace - punjabi folk. loads better than a beardie man in sandals playing streets of london.

iDave fancy a dance-off? ๐Ÿ™‚

Punjabi? I'm guessing they were Sikh? I have a great deal of time for Sikh's. I grew up close to a local temple and families. Very proud and generous people (from my own experience).
