dunno but rather you than me.....wtf was it doing in your house more to the point??
I can't remember what they're called, but that one is just a very tiny baby one, because they grow HUGE 😯
So if ever you feel a bit of resistance whilst trying to push your bathroom door open, be very very careful 😐
Looks like a whip spider. Where do you live?
Oh and they won't hurt you.
Edit: they do grow very big but are quite fascinating and some people collect them.
More to the point, what's that in the bottom right corner of the picture. 😯
It will grow to the size of a golf ball, crawl up your bum in the night and eat you from the inside.
They live in groups of six. How many have you found?
Oh and they won't hurt you.
That's not true. Well I know for a fact that the ones found in the Bahamas are particularly dangerous 😯
If i found that I would be cacking myself! That looks mean 😆
We live in the British Virgin Islands. We've got our fair share of bugs, Ground Spiders, Tarantulas, Snakes, Scorpions and Centipedes but that was the first one of those I've seen.
Ah, the deadly pinchy bathroom floor spider.
One of those ate my cat last year.
Well I know for a fact that the ones found in the Bahamas are particularly dangerous
I meant Bahamas/British Virgin Islands.
Yeah it's a whip scorpion/spider as roper said. I saw one the size of a dinner plate on a night hike in Peru last year and nearly shat myself. I didn't think they were venomous either but may be wrong?
*lifts feet off floor*

Are you sure?
"they are not true spiders as they do not produce any silk or venom. Their common name refers to the whiplike movements of their first pair of legs."

Maybe it's like the myth that tarantulas kill people? I was under the impression they hunt and eat in a similar way to a mantis, grabbing hold and chewing.
They do caress their young with their front Whips like legs which is pretty unusual.
tailless whip scorpion if I remember rightly, scarey as **** but harmless
(I had Bugs magazine as a kid)
If I found that in the bathroom I get the child, wife and cats and leave.
You can always get another house.
Maybe go back [s]and torch the place[/s] nuke it from orbit
I saw that and instinctively lifted my feet off the floor. Lordy!
Got scared by those last year in Nicaragua, wondered why our bed was in the middle of the room until we came back in the evening to find a couple of these on the wall along with frogs and geckos!
Thank god they haven't made it to the UK just yet, my wife might leave (hang on, that sounds good, can you post the body here!)
That sent a cold shiver down my back!
One of the veg wholesalers in Covent Garden used to have a hall of fame photo wall of stuff found in produce, ranged from bird eating spiders to scorpions and even a hooded cobra and every bug and creepy crawly that you'd normally see on Discovery Animal Planet.
Holy flurking schnite!!!
Pass the Brut and zippo.
Minor hijack...How do you cross things out while typing a post?
I m not big on spiders and im usually the one that has to rescue Mrs Stoney when she screams like a a a a screamy thing ❗ when there`s a tiny one in the bath or something....
But i recon i would crap myself seeing one of those 😐
resume normal post....
lol @ GrahamA ...Damn right! I'm okay at picking up bugs/reptiles found in Britain but no way would I go near that beast.
Yuck!
Harry-the-spider.god that made me laugh.i was nearly in tears.
I am in tears not laughed so much since the picolx thread 😀
