Off to see it tonight in 3D

Anyone else seen it and what's your verdict?

Ah, great - if the critics hate it, I'll probably like it.

Kermode did a rather good review of it in this weeks podcast. I don't think he liked it. Just another sword and sandals movie to go with the recent spat of sword and sandals movies.

If you liked the last one, this is more of the same and slightly better I'd say.

This was filmed in part on the area of the Surrey hills called Redlands which is a great riding spot. We were up there on night rides when the special effects crews were setting up detonation charges on the trees.

Last week I saw Avatar ... it's on again on Channel 4 now.

My verdict for Avatar ... shite.

Avatar is bloody awful. I really enjoyed the first Titans film though, I expect more of the same.

Clash of the titans was panned but I found it pretty enjoyable, and I tend to hate most blockbustery type stuff.

Avatar work as an 'experience', best seen in the cinema where it is mightily impressive, rather than a 'film' where it doesn't hold up too well
