This is amazing! Looks like it needs a bit of room too, not something they built in a spare bedroom 8)

But the planes are on sticks like muppets' arms.

I did like it though.

The interior detail on those buildings is incredible. Like the night shots too.

was it just done as a hobby or for commercial purposes?

what happens to the planes that land and take off... can they taxi on to the runway and take off (or land and taxi away), or is it a different set of planes from the ones bimbling about on the taxiways.

muppetWrangler +1

When I first saw that, it was most exciting thing in the whole wide world ever + infinity * 10. Pretty much everything else has been a disappointment since.

they repeated all the Thunderbirds episodes about 10 years ago. My son was 3 and loved them. Was like seeing them afresh all over again watchign with him.

After about 5 or 6 episodes we were watching and he said;

"that one looks like he's got a string on his hand!"

I said, without thinking "Well he is a puppet".

Long pause when I realised he hadn't known and he came to the realisation that he may have been labouring under a misaprehension.

He eventually said: "So are all the Thunderbirds puppets then Daddy?"

I had to concede that they were.

He's wasn't dim, just very willing to believe and I took it away from him 🙁

Like folk who sit around flaming others when they're too lazy to create stuff like this? 😛

Its part of a model museum thing in Germany IIRC. The planes really do land, taxi, arrive at a gate and then take off again, everything is done to a proper timetabled schedule. Mental.
