[Closed] Wot app to clean out my Windows box?
My Windows box is getting slow and unresponsive - what app can I use to give it a good spring clean? Are there any built-in tools for this? (except defrag, I know where that is...) Ideally it will be free :o)
Being a Mac-user I'm unfamiliar with such programs for PC. I use a Virus scanner, haven't installed any dodgy software and I'm behind a corporate firewall, so I think it's just culmination of 8 hours use a day for the past year without any maintenance.
Format + install disk.
C-Cleaner is all you need and it's free.
CCleaner here as well - great wee app.
Hehe i'll try the system tools and c-cleaner before reinstalling!
Thanks gents.
recommendation from by Bro (IT boff) is this http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html
been keeping my Vista box running very cleanly and sweetly for the last 12 months no problem.
Also IObit's SmartDefrag is a good drive monitor.
Thanks for the info. I used the built-in cleaner and system tools and c-cleaner and running a lot better now.
I'll give those a whirl as well Stoner. Cheers.
