My sister got me in to single malt a couple of years back when we were on hol in the Highlands. Can’t say I'm an authority though so any recommendations would be welcome as my sis and I are on a rare night out tonight... x

Aberfeldy here..

I spent two days driving around schools next to distilleries in Spey valley - and having to avoid all of them 🙁

I've got 12 year old Glenmorangie & Highland Park but most likely I'll crack open my 14 year old Glenfiddich Rich Oak

One day I will keep bottles long enough to amass a fine collection of single malts. Can you imagine your cupboard if you still had bits left from all of your past great bottles.

They have a shelf life due to (IIRC) oxidisation. Two year max, generally.

Good evening out, Started with Jura on to Laphroaig and finished with a Talisker. A predictable pub selection but still very enjoyable. Not a patch on the selection at the Stein Inn. Fav tonight Laphroaig? I think.

Fettercairn Fior - a magnificent dram
Although I have been looking wistfully at my special bottle of Aberlour - mis en bouteille by my own fair hands.
Although I did find bottle of Dufftown Singleton the other day which was surprisingly tasty
