i have yet to experience the joys of wow as i do not have a credit card to pay the monthly sub,but have just read that i can buy 60 day cards from game for it.

have heard a lot of good things about the game, but am also wary about the cost involved in playing it (£17.99 for 60 days).

is it worth it,i think i'm asking ?

ta 🙂

p.s i do love anything fantasy based (elder scrolls/zelda/tolkien e.t.c)

i was just thinking that drac - the fact that someone put the Leeroy jenkins viral vid up on facebook pointing out that it was 10 years old - ergo i was still at uni the other day.

didnt even realise it was still a thing.

theres a whole wide real world out there to explore......

Its the best online game out there, but be warned ... Once it hooks you there will be no easy exit.
Wasted 3 years of my life, it was that good. I all most recovered from video games dependancy.

Yeah that appeared on my timeline too the other day. There's 24 hours in a day so time to play such things but that one has had it's day. They're really isn't much in mmorpg genre out there just now. Maybes Elite but it seems to be on a sloe development. I've gone back to consoles though so lost track a bit.

Spent several yearsin Azeroth.

Don't regretit, or the cost, but to be honest, it got to the point you were logged in mainly for the chat with on line mates like some sort of troll based MSN Messenger service in the end. It just got too complex and confusing with all the expansions for me.

Circa 1.6 was it's heyday. I'd love a private server with all my friends just doing "classic" wow.

I'm sure I've heard that classic wow can be played for free somewhere legitimately.

I'll have a nosey and report bac.

As above though I used to play it years ago but it's had its day I think, I believe they even added panda bears (wtf?) in one of the expansions to make our more appealing to certain groups.

<edit > "vanilla wow free to play" turns up a fair few private servers on Google which appear to be just that. I don't think wow runs on Android so I can't test them, possibly a good thing as I quite like the real world these days.

Was in from the start. Went into rehab in 2009 with wow crack addiction. Now slowly recovering. Great game back in the day still has some 7M players. By far the most successful. But why not try Elder Scrolls it's pretty good or Fi Al Fantay 14. Also very good games
