Welcome to the roller-coaster. Sometimes its absolutely ****ing brilliant, sometimes you've your head in your hands, weeping (banking crashes, clients going bust oweing you thousands, that type of thing)
I said I wouldn't do it again after I lost everything but the clothes I was stood up in the last economic shit-storm, but after a few years of (boring, coasting) employment, I have, and I'm absolutely loving it again.
Just go in with your eyes wide open. Getting yourself established is bloody hard work! Worth it though.

This is so true, and already true in my current role.
Timely thread, going to be me from next month.
Don't take a loan to get started.
Set off on my own last October.
Only had 15 days with out paid work.
So far, so good.
New contract starting on Wednesday.
