As this has been a Leap Year - have I worked an extra day unpaid?

How many "extra" days do we work?

No, you've just had a free ride of 1/4 of a day per year for the last 3 years. The extra day you get in a leap year isn't just a random extra day they throw in for a bit of fun ๐Ÿ™‚

I would expect that most of us on salaries are working extra days that are unpaid.

The leap year is just a drop in the ocean

Just life innit

So how many days do we work unpaid if you're on a salary?

Any chance you're posting this when you're supposed to be working? ๐Ÿ˜‰

For my 35.5hr Monday - Friday week I get paid for, by Saturday night I'll have done 60hrs give a take a bit.

My dads' boss once told him "Overtime will be worked willingly, cheerfully and without any thought of further remuneration" and that pretty much fits with the way my current employer operates.

I think each person has to make their own call as to whether they accept unpaid overtime or not, it's all part of the overall package and you can't necessarily pick and choose the bits you like (perks) and don't like (overtime) etc.

I do some unpaid overtime, but in the overall scheme of things I think my job is pretty good and I could do a lot worse...

How many bank holidays, holidays and sick days (and hours spent skiving online) do you get paid for where you don't work?

A correct answer on the first page.
