I have just booked a very last minute few days away and am staying in Woolacombe about 3 miles from the beach and half a mile from what is apparently a nice pub. Any good trails around there/bridleways etc if anyone has spent much time around there or lives there?
Ta muchly! x

Some good stuff around Spreacombe quarry north of Braunton & west toward Croyde - can be accessed via Marine drive in Woolacombe.
You can also use the disused railway line @ turnpike cross, good decent into Lee bay via Windcutter woods - apart from that there's only the coast path (cheekyish)

when I was surfing I ended up going to Porlock and Exford area. Not much on coast. Tarka trail is a nice summers day bimble.

One of the bike hire places on the Tarka trail has a rickshaw if you want to try something different

Here's a North Devon Fave of mine (I grew up there):

Ride it clockwise.

Some of it is a bit cheeky as you can see if you follow the route on an OS Map

Beamers, I don't suppose you could email me a gpx file of that route, please?

Sure, but before I do if you click on the Summary tab on bikeroutetoaster you can download it yourself from there.

Post up if you have a drama and I'll pm you.

Here's another one:

Again, some of it is cheeky.

I'll caveat both of my route suggestions with the fact that I haven't ridden these routes for a number of years so I'm not sure what kind of condition they are in.

Enjoy.
