Summer must be here as our last log went in the stove at about 8 o'clock last night, usually we keep stoking till about ten.

When does your last log go in?

Not had our lit since end of May - running on solar (with a little help form oil) for the HW now.

Summer must be here

I was only thinking last night that the evenings were drawing in 🙁

Anyway - off to collect a load of free Wellingtonia and Holly this afternoon 😀

geoff - if you still want some of that pine that I have left, we could cut and split it here.

MIne doesn't get used from April onwards and my wife draws questioning frowns from me if she dares to use the central heating.

Haven't had ours on since about the middle of April - wouldn't expect to be running it before September at the earliest, possible October if we get a spell of good weather at the end of summer. However, if we had a woodburning dehumidifier/air con, it'd be on 24-7 just now.

The downstairs one hasn't been on since February (only gets used in the coldest of weather since it is in the dining room - helps warm the rest of the house though). Upstairs was on once in the Spring I think on a cold evening (April/May) that has been it. Still have half of last winter's wood and some of the previous winters too which is stuck behind my trailer! Hopefully we should be set for this year, but the BIL has promised me another free trailer full in the late summer/early Autumn which should be in good condition for the late winter/early spring next year... or next winter 😉
