Is there such a thing? I’ve our 1st wedding anniversary coming up and we’ve agreed to get each other watches. I’ve had my heart set on a Suunto Core for ages so that’s a no brainer but I’m struggling to find something suitable for Mrs Sandwicheater.

She loves the outdoors and the gadgets on the Suunto but, it’s the size of her head! Any suggestions? Case of moon on a stick?

Think you'll struggle with a womens mountaineering watch that is slim. My wife has given up on having anything "useful" on her slim wrist; closest we got was a G-shock. She uses a Citizen Eco divers watch of some description. Waterproof to 300m and very robust but still slim; it does however only tell the time.

Other option is a Garmin Forunner 410 or simmilar if the outdoors is more running / cycling and less altitude gained etc.

I had a Suunto Observer. Really great watch and sits very snugly and unobtrusively on a small wrist. CORE would have looked silly on my rather lady-like arm, but the observer was excellent and super-durable/reliable.
