Anyone using a set of Withings Scales. Quite fancy a set as I enjoy stats and use myfitnesspal.

Are they any good? Info from users only please, no naysayers.

Yup, I bought some back when I had cash to splash on that kind of thing. They are great if you like stats and are lazy! The fact that they auto-upload to myfitnesspal, runkeeper, etc is really handy.

People often say there's no need to weigh yourself more than once a week but I disagree. If you weigh yourself morning and evening every day it's a lot easier to track patterns and root out any anomalous readings. Obviously though if you're not currently engaged in losing or gaining weight there may well be little point!

EDIT: just seen on their website they have a new model out which is a bit cheaper but doesn't look as nice IMO. Can't immediately see what the other differences are, except it has bluetooth built in.

Yeh I did see the other version on their site, looks a bit clunky.

It's not so much about loosing weight, more about maintaining my current weight. And hey I just love stats and objects interacting with my phone 🙂

Well, they look good IMO, scale seems v accurate, wi-fi connectivity works extremely well so if you are happy to spend the money then why not. It detects different users automatically if there is about a stone difference in weight or so which is a nice feature (it's very quick & easy to select other users if not though). Seeing the graphs on your phone/computer is quite cool if you are into that!

The only negative IMO is the body fat analysis. It seems to be very dependant on other factors e.g. hydration so difficult to get accurate & consistant readings (this is probably the same for any scales that have this function though). Again though if you measure yourself often it is possible to monitor patterns and relative changes on the graph.
