Hi all , my front wipers on a 10 plate qashqai stopped working yesterday . I checked the fuse and it had blown , replaced it today and it blew again . I am assuming this means the wiper motor is goosed . Does anyone have any experience of this and is it easy enough to replace yourself ?

Colleague at work has a Qashqai and exactly this happened.
He got Nissan to do it £400+.

I have seen this on a forum. If you google qashqai faulty wipers it should come up. I seem to remember it is corrosion on the shaft causing the motor to seize and blow the fuse. Need a new motor to fix it properly but you might get away with cleaning and greasing the shaft.
