I'm obviously out of the loop - hadn't even realised there was a W8. What noise is it MS are making? What are the advantages of W8? What platform are you putting it on - a quick google seems to suggest the major advantages are for use with portable/touch screen devices (ie tablets)?

Windows 8 is for tablets, laptops, desktops, x86, x64 and ARM!
