Gonna install the new release of Windows 7 soon

I would normally install the 32-bit version out of habit although I believe all my hardware (which is less then 2 years old) is all compatible with 64-bit...

So should I install the 64-bit version? And are there any pitfalls to watch out for?

How much memory do you have in there I take 4 gig or less?

If your pc is 64 bit compatible then go for it. Almost all of the software out there is 64bit compatible now. I am running windows 7 in 64bit and it rocks. Nice and fast and a lot more features than vista.

Give 64 ago then and buy a few extra gig for full benefit.

I'm running the 64 version on an overclocked 2.5 processor with 2gig and it works spot on.

Just installed windows 7 64 bit on my girlfriends ageing AMD sempron 2800+ 1.6 ghz with 1gig of memory and it runs fine. No gaming monster but perfectly workable. Vista would have fallen over and waved a white flag by now.
