Hi off to the US next month and have borrowed a sat nav.
just occured to me I am not aware whether the in car charger will work in my rental car.
does anyone know?

if it plugs into the cigarette lighter, yes it will.

Unit will work but you must have the us maps installed otherwise it'll make a good paperweight

and yes it is a cigarette lighter plugs

Yes. 12v DC is 12v DC.
Just make sure you let the hire company know you need a car with a fag pack.

As long as the sat nav is left hand drive.
