I received a new iPhone 6 as an upgrade for my contract. It's from 3 and therefore totally unlocked.
I want to send it to my brother who lives in Portugal. Will it work fine there on the Portuguese network.
I'm assuming it will because my 6 plus doesn't have an issue but assumptions are the mother of all f ups

Edit: if the network he uses it on doesn't have a formal agreement to sell Apple, the phone's settings may not update without a bit of effort. Depends how critical that is.

The UK model A1586 is the same model as used in Portugal, supports all the 4G LTE bands in Portugal.

Lovely. He uses vodaphone so I think that they will have a license with apple. Sounds like it's a goer.
