MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
the wii (and DS) online experience?
If so recommend me a router (blimey they're cheap these days)
I've got Virgin broadband so got a free router with it. Just a bog standard net egar one but it's good enough for the laptops and wii. I've got several games with wifi capability the best ones being mario Kart and Call of Duty... bloody brilliant and gives a new sense of excitement to a game.
Don't forget that some new games require you to update your console with the latest firmware... this has to be done of a router...
Absolutely - wii online is brilliant - even better than normal 🙂
my lad likes it cos he can watch iplayer on it
mario cart online is worth every penny, but not sure you need wifi, can't you just hoik a network cable from the wii to your router?
hhhhoooik?
You can't route with an ethernet/network cable directly to the Wii - you have to buy an add on part for the Wii to use a non-wireless to use it...
There are 2 usb ports but no ethernet on the wii. We have wifi so didn't bother investigating wired network. Well worth getting connected, even if you don't game online(3 kids, 4 wiimotes so usually someone to play with here). There's a wii browser channel to download so yo can watch iplayer and tvcatchup channels on your telly. Found it really handy to switch over to tvguide.co.uk rather than use the useless freeview guide. Also you can download widgets to turn the wii into a dvd and media player too. DS browser a bit pants, but believe you can get a better one with an R4 card.
