Original set up is virgin modem and router (super hub). In certain parts of flat signal is nice and strong and on other side it's weak non existent. I can't place super hub in centre of property as optical cable too short to move super hub around.
Tried TP-Link 200 power line adapters, it helped at first but now don't make any difference. Tried changing router channels 1-6-11 etc, still nothing. I guess walls are the problem.
Is there any other solutions to solve my problem before I attempt to drill walls?
Thought of buying inexpensive additional wireless router but don't know which and how to make it work. Thought of setting up super hub as modem only connecting additional wireless hub to transmit wifi in centre of property? Do I think right along the lines?
Please help.
I've got the same virgin hub. I have two other routers set up as repeaters to ensure strong signal everywhere.
Buffalo G300n v2 routers with dd-wrt software update. Sounds complex but wasn't actually hard to set up (and I wrote instructions in case I need to do it again)
Oh and you can just buy a cable extension. I have a 10m one running under my house to get it to the middle of the house.

The Virgin "SuperHub" Wifi performance is terrible.
It is possible to set it up in "modem mode" so that it just handles the cable modem side of things, you then buy a better performing Wifi router and plug this into the Superhub.
Could you point me in the right direction of quality wifi transmitter? Ebay amazon links?
I have one of these which extends my wireless from my extension which is seemingly encased in Kryptonite.
Works really well. My advice is you use a different SSID than the source though otherwise shit devices (Apple) get confused.
