Am having to do a fair bit of indoor photography, lowish light (no flash or remote lighting). Have been getting by with a 50mm 1.8 lens on my Nikon 7000 but could do with a wider view.
I also have an 18-200 but it struggles with low light, and a short DOP is really useful.
So what Nikon lens would do a job ... within a £200 budget or ideally less.
Thanks
You could pick up a tamron 17-50 f2.8 for £200 fairly easily?

I have this in the classifieds at the moment -
it is a tad over budget - but its a nice wide lens

thanks all. Capt Kronos - bit of a rubbish qn, but is a 35mm discernibly different to a 50mm - like the low focal length, but wonder if it'll be enough of a step?
50mm is telephoto on a D7000 (or any other DX frame body).
35mm is very very very slightly tele, 28mm is very very very slightly wide.
24mm would be medium wide (like a 35mm back in film days or on FX bodies).
