Our router is in the kitchen and we get very poor wi-if in the lounge (sitting-room, parlour if you prefer)

Been meaning to sort this for a while and I just received an email from BT offering a wi-fi hotspot 600 thingy for £50 (two units that plug into the mains)

I'm guessing cheaper devices exist?

Any recommendations?

PS:
Presumably the two units that plug to the mains need to be on the same ring?

I've used Netgear ones to great effect for *half the price.

Presumably the two units that plug to the mains need to be on the same ring?

I don't believe they do.

*Just checked and bugger me they're expensive now.
Still rate Netgear over other brands though.

I have a Netgear one. It seems a hassle to me as devices don't switch seamlessly between it and the wireless router. Is it me?

Do you have anything that would interfere with the signal? Turned out our Baby Monitor was causing wifi issues for us.
