What have I started? 🤣
FYI I bought a pair but realised that I preferred my old High Roller 2 rear as the trails were still dry.
It was a genuine question, I just thought Maxxis had changed their logo colour.
For you maybe.
*Sashays off down the trail.
*Works it.
You go girl 💖
Some of us ride different colours and different brands of tyres AND wheels
I broke a spoke on my rear 27.5+ wheel a while back - Hope Pro 4, with black Sapim spokes and Raceface Arc rims.
While I was waiting for a replacement to turn up, I ran a spare rear wheel - Stans Neo hub, Stans Baron rim, and silver DT spokes.
Mismatched tyres too (WTB front and Maxxis rear).
NEVER have I felt so alive 😁
I bought a DHR II from Merlin, properly packaged but with a white logo. I too am rocking mismatched logo colours.
You’ve taken things too far Matt.
I know I have.
That's a fake Hope sticker on the rear rim....
😈
You’re going to lose your shit when you see how many people run different brands front and rear 😆
I can't even be bothered to align tyre logos with the valve 🤷
Forget 650b ... mismatched tyres make the trails come alive.
Meh.
Some of us ride different colours and different brands of tyres AND wheels….
I was all set to join the torch and pitchfork brigade but then I looked a bit closer and realised he's just trolling us...
Your tyres match your frame! That's true dedication. You are (somewhat) forgiven.
Yellow looks great
Anyone else reminded of this?

Just to show they ride among us , 1st bike different brands front and rear , bike behind one yellow one white logo 🧐
Just checked my Orbea Rise Maxxis front and rear with Yellow logos front and rear from new 👍
And, depending on the build you went for, the rear tyre could be an OEM only special made just for Orbea.
Yeah, but it’s important recognise OEM tyres because aren’t some lower quality? So, Maxxis how do we do that if it’s not logo colour and they are not marked as such?
I’d have to say that IMO making slippery tyres with a lesser compound so bike makers can save cash on spec. is so bad in terms of reputation and likely why so many riders never again buy what came on their new bike.
And as for Michelin with Raceline / competition / performance names.
WTF
Designer:
“ these are cheaper tyres which are harder rubber so last longer - of course less grippy, OEMs will probably prefer them”
marketing dept:
“yeah, but let’s give each range a name and website description that makes each sound like they are better than the other ranges!”
It's not a fashion show, it's riding bikes in mud.
You'll never be sponsored by nineyard with attitude young man 😉
Edit: holy thread resurrection batman!
You're going to lose your shit when you see how many people run different brands front and rear
And don’t get me started on the current stupid fad for ‘mullet’ wheel sizes! What, in the name of all that’s holy, posses anyone to have different size wheels on each end of a bike! 🤪😖🤨🤭
