We have a Canon MP810 photo printer and it's cutting the top off our photos when we're printing them out. We're using the Pictbridge setting and have set both the camera and printer up for the correct size of photo paper. The camera is a Panasonic DMC FZ-38 and the photo looks fine when viewed on the screen, but the printer seems to be enlarging it slightly so it cuts off the top. Any ideas as to why this would happen? Many thanks.
So you are printing direct from the camera ? Is the printer set to A4/whatever paper size you are using ?
The printer uses the default settings from the camera rather than from the printer itself, so it shouldn't make any difference what size the paper settings on it are. I did check them though and they were definitely set for 6x4 inch.
Camera set to 4:3 aspect ratio rather than 3:2 ?
Just tried another picture taken at 3:2 rather than 4:3 but it's no different. Still scratching my head on this one. Pictures look fine on the cameras viewfinder but chopped on the printed out version. Bizzare.
what happens when you set the camera to default paper size ( as in no size defined so it takes the paper size from the printer ) ?
I'll give that a go and see what happens?
