[Closed] Why does my iPad not now receive emails when it's sleeping?

It used to receive emails when it was asleep, now it only receives them when I open the email page.

Probaly turns the wirelss off to save power

Have you done a recent update, it may of defaulted to an old setting.

Check the settings for email and see if they've changed

there is a setting for push/pull of emails...you can change frequency and torn feature on or off.

I've looked at the settings and it was on Manual, I switched it to recover emails every 15 minutes.

I did a quick test sending an email from my laptop to myself with the iPad charger on. The laptop notified me immediatly the iPad didnt.

My iPhone 3GS started doing this if it was left unattended for hours, after I upgraded the IOS.

It's a current bug, some suggest making sure the mail app is closed before iPad goes into sleep mode allows it to push.
