MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
I know this has been done all over the web, but listening to some live footage from one of Thunder's last gigs which I saw in Glasgow got me thinking. Danny Bowes is one of the top ten in my mind, voice made for music.
David Coverdale springs to mind, especially early Whitesnake stuff, probably loads more I could think of
Freddie would have to be another
Ian Gillan
Gregg Allman
Peter Green
Warren Haynes
Robert Plant I spose
Mebbe even little RJD
Joplin
Lemmy
JLS and Matt Cardle
John Lydon
Lemmy
Ozzy
Di Anno
and Dinkinson I suppose
I would vote for Freddie as well.
while I wasn't a fan of Queen, you have to admit he was a great showman
Paul Rodgers
Chris Cornell
Jack White
Matt Caughthran (The Bronx)
Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction)
Mike Ness (Social Distortion)
Thom Yorke
Jeff Buckley
Ian Curtis
Jonsi
Bjork
Frank Black
Freddie Mercury for his range but also his amazing stage presence.
Steve Perry from Journey and also Graham Bonnet from his Rainbow days.
Freddie Mercury
Bee Gees
ABBA
The rest are shite.
Joe Lynn Turner
Ian Curtis
Mark E Smith
Robert Smith
David Coverdale , 'Crying in the rain' was on classic rock the other morning it took me back to being 13 again. I shed a small tear for the flowing locks I no longer have 😥
Anthony Kiedis
Lemmy
Alice Cooper
Bruce Dickinson
Shirley Manson
Eddie Vedder
Freddie
Eddie Vedder (sp) from Pearl Jam has to have a sneaky mention.

Freddie Mercury
Mike Patton from Faith no More.

Another vote for Chris Cornell & Joe Perry
Bon Scott- pure rock gravel
Robert Plant
Dio
Ian Gillan
Paul Rogers
Bono
Oh bum- forgot-Phil Lynott- what a dude!
Bob Mould. Can do shouty and loud as well as mellow and emotional.
Honourable, if cheesy, mention for Wendy James too...she could wail dude 🙂
John Bush
In no particular order:
Paul Rogers
Mike Patton
Chris Cornell
Robert Plant
Jeff Buckley
Dave Grohl
Mark Lanagan
Perry Farrell
Murray Lightburn
these guys
(puts all those cookie monster style warblings you hear in metal nowadays into touch!) 😀
Some good suggestions, nobody has mentioned
Mick Jagger
Jon Bon Jovi
Axel Rose
Steven Tyler
Brian Johnson
Dave Grohl
Kurt Cobain.
Good initial shout with Danny Bowes - probably one of the most underrated voices ever.
Usual list for me:
Danny Bowes
Freddie
Paul Rodgers
Steve Tyler (not a brilliant voice, but gives it 110% live)
Scott Weiland
Seal (bending the definition of rock voices a bit there)
Tim Booth
No Rob Halford yet...?

thoroughly silly song[/url], but so rocking it hurts.
answering your question properly this time.there are a few that i like for different reasons.blackie lawless from w.a.s.p (especially the headless children album) a way better rock singer than axl rose in my opinion. tom waits for when you want moody drunk/melancholy) but for me it would have to be trent reznor most of all (nin are my favourite band) he can just say/emote what i'm feeling but cannot
Some who've not been mentioned yet:
Jim Morrison.
Lowell George.

few extras for the list....
David Lee Roth
John Lennon
Roger Chapman
kurt cobain (RIP)
there have been some ruddy good suggestions so far, but I simply *cannot* believe that Maynard James Keenan hasn't had a mention?!
I mean seriously, wtf? 😛
Freddie for sure.
Mick Jagger wins for me but the best vocalist, most unique and most recognisable singer ever just has to be Brian Johnson.
But Johnny deserves an honorable mention for this song too.
