Oddly enough I bought one yesterday night. Dell outlet for £250. Inspiron 15 seems to have everything you'd need for most tasks.

tesco are doing some cracking deals at the moment.
I bought this one for my son last week.

Bit flimsy but spec wise it's great and it has a great graphics processor in it (whic is what he wanted to play certain games on it). I decided to go to the local store to get it, got there and they'd reduced this one down to 300 quid and the 17 inch screened one to £350. The crseen on the 17 inch one though flexes like mad so I stuck with the 15 incher. He's very happy with it.

Typing this message out on my 18 month old £300 Hewlett Packard Laptop, which I got from EBuyer.

I asked the IT guy at work & he suggested a HP (he said I should avoid an Acer) - I've been very happy with it.

EBuyers service is first rate too.
