My faithful Olympus Mju gave up the ghost whilst snorkelling last summer after about 8 years of abuse. So after something for snapping outdoor stuff while biking, kayaking, swimming etc.
There's a few on the market at various prices, any recommendations? Simpler to use the better as I'm more into quick capture the moment shots than faffing with settings
I have a c.5 year old TG1 and its been impeccable so far. It has "tap controls" for certain key functions, where you tap the body, rather than a button. Certainly helps for use with gloves, skiing, etc. Newer ones have wifi etc, so assuming they've kept the quality of everything else and only improved on functionality, I'd say they're a good bet.
Need to check the seals and properly dry it out after every dunking, but that applies to almost any of that ilk, I'd imagine. No real hardship.
Another Olympus. Happy with my TG4. Not sure what the latest model is.
Cheap option is a go-pro copy. A bit faffier but an awful lot cheaper, if the TG is well over budget its a great choice. If you can afford the TG go for it
