[Closed] Which forumite(s) would you most like to meet, and why?

I'd like to meet CaptJon. He's an academic and lives near me. The only forumites I've met who are academics and live near me have been complete idiots.

I just want to carry on meeting folk from here. Met a few over the years and had a few laughs and been shown some good riding - and also shown a few folk around my local trails.

Very few folk I wouldn't want to meet, far too many to mention I would like to meet. I fancy doing a grand UK tour looking for the best of UK riding and meeting as many STWers as I can

FWIW, TJ's amongst the nicest 3 or 4 STWers i've met so far...

I don't think there's anyone I wouldn't want to meet. I know plenty of people who are absolutely lovely IRL but total nobbers as soon as they get within three feet of an Internet connection.

Judge people solely by their online persona and you miss out on meeting some very interesting people.

I best say Khani...as I'm meeting him next wkend 🙂

Met Junkyard, Mr and Mrs nbt, herbivore and a few others on a recentish Rivi ride - great folks all.

Sanity Assassin, Tee2sugars, Cynical, druidh, jojo, thebikechain, Speystout, Bikepawl, TJ, LukeB, hairyscarey, treemagnet, houns, vosh, steve austin (plus loads I've forgotton at this point). Ridden with that lot quite a few times over the years, and still do.

Have met Elf once but he don't know me.

Even my missus posts on here but no-one else knows who she is.

Ive been lucky enough to have met quite a few off here (7 or 8 I think) and they are all, to a man, excellent people. There's a few I have no interest in meeting, but I think Id like to meet, in no particular order: timbur, toys19, cougar, mcmoonter, sharki, geoffj. Also edukator, globalti, and dobbo etc to bore each other about biomass and solar panels 😉

Oh and darcy, assuming he will deign to not stand me up next time 😉

That's been a "major lottery win and lots of free time" idea of mine for a while, hire a van and take my shiny new bling-to-the-max bike out round the best riding spots of the the UK.

Also would like to say thankyou in person to any paramedics, or mountain rescue for the job they do, and to make up for all the people who abuse them when theyure trying to help, and for ones who never say thankyou to them.

There's such a verity on here. There's so many people I reckon would be so interesting to spend time with.

I met TJ on the latest Rivi ride along with Junkyard, Herbivore and a few others. Met Pook, binners NBT and hora on a social in manchester a while back. Hope to meet a few more and i'll be moving to Wales in a couple weeks so if anyone is headed over to CyB or Betws, gimme a shout!

I'd really like to stop meeting hora! There are too many to list who I've not yet met. Phil, jamie, CG and all the people who regularly make me laugh. Especially the southern contingent. I've met a lot of the nortern monkeys. Every one of the numerous people I've met have been fine human beings! 🙂

I bumped into Elf once, funny because I didn't need to be introduced to know it was him.... He then followed my down Barry Knows Best but I dropped him 😉

Yes that's me on my 5 with my back to the camera. Ugh, my backside looks enormous. I think it was that ride where I disappeared at lunchtime. I wasn't well and had to leave in a hurry, which would explain why I don't remember much about it.

Its not you junky. Both aren't nobs on the forum but one was off/arrogant with other riders and the other abit up himself/condescending. Lifes too short to take yourself seriously.
