Not that many I'd like to meet,Elfin,TSY,Yunki are on the list with a few others.... but I met Jahwomble a few times whilst he was making a guitar up for me and he and his missus were absolutely lovely,really funny as well.Took me for a ride then stuffed me full of cake,
A month after he'd delivered the guitar(complete with more chocolate cake that Liz had made),he called to check it was ok and offered to fine tune the set up as I'd had a couple of weeks with it. I'd love to meet him again but that's not going to happen 🙁

I always liked BigDummy's online character, but he seems to have gone on permanent sabbatical.
Otherwise, I will go with Elfinsafety as a popular choice, and perhaps molgrips, barnslymitch, and ourmaninthenorth as we have had past contact via e-mail, and they come across as less inflamatory than some.
Although, to be honest, even the loudmouths who say things even when they know nothing about the subject, often make me laugh. And the help I have received from people on here on all manner of subjects means that there would hardly be anyone on here not deserving at least a beer.
And any MTB-Wales alumni... though I suspect I will have met many of them anyway.

Those I have met have been totally sound. I can only conclude that everyone else is too.

Haha! Yes i would agree on that one. If someone says something on here they have 15 mins to go back on what they just blurted out. If they decide not to, then it confirms the nobber in them, myself included.

No chance. Flashheart was supposed to come for a drink with myself, Stoner, Bigdummy, and Cheesyfeet, he never turned up. He claimed that something cropped up at the last minute and he was otherwise engaged. I reckon he's some South London Walter Mitty character living on the dole.
Mind you Elf was also suppose to turn up, but he went to another pub. I have met Elf though. I was shocked to discover that he's a right posh git - he went to a top notch school and university you know. It's funny how people can lead double lives with the help of the internet.
Sue - I've actually done a couple of gentle pootles but need an operation so shouldn't really be riding. 😳
😆 @ Ernie and, yes, you could be right! You can be anyone you want to be on t'internet. You, of course, are far nicer in real-life. 😀

This thread has made me realise that I've actually met loads of people from off here, and had some brilliant rides as a result.
As to the ones I haven't met yet - I said I'd let Vortexracing know to sort out a ride next time I was up visiting the in-laws and then haven't been back for a year. Must do that because he delivered some tyres and my wife said he seemed nice.
Nearly met Davidtaylforth for a ride on a trip to Cumbria once, would have been interesting to put a face to his name.
There are a couple more people I have threatened to meet for rides, but names escape me now.
Chatted to loads of good people here, but can't always remember names. Of the top of my head, Tazzy, Mboy and DavidTaylforth. Seem like nice guys who don't talk a lot of bollocks. Oh and GW, to call him a c*ck in person 😀
I've had good advice from many folks on here and have ridden with a fair few of the more outspoken posters.
GW - Massive troll , but can walk the walk and talk the talk better than anyone Ive ever ridden with.
TJ - Thoroughly decent chap and very knowledgable of local Edinbra stuff.
Druidh - Nice and welcoming on the Tbc rides and fixed many a noobs puncture . (including mine)
Coastkid - Always good company If you can get a word in edgeways. 😉
Notable mentions to stevenmenmuir, robgarrioch,sharki, househusband and yodagoat (floaty heed).

I have long been considering a Cardiff/South Wales STW ride. But I can't decide on a route.
I would like to meet Charlie Mungus, he intrigues me, and I would also like to meet deadlydarcy for a local ride, any of the other Cardiff people, and also iDave. And basically anyone else, even TJ 🙂
There'a a fair number I've met, though I don't know who they are. You know the situation: meet up at Swinley, and people with improbable names like [i]notAsauSage[/i] or [i]trumpeterbegins[/i] promise to turn up.
So you get to the car park, and there are a million people there, all of whom have disturbingly normal names like Geoff, Pete, Sue....you get the drift. No idea what their forum names are though, and people never seem to volunteer them.
Of the ones I've met, the most like their onlike persona is Elf (but he's turned down to 2 on here - louder in person), and the least likely is Bullheart, who's usually pretty serious and a bit taciturn on here, but is friendly, generous and loquacious in real life. He does ride an orange gate though, so not all perfect.
Ones I'd like to meet? I'd ride with anyone, but there's a few I'd be especially keen to see, though I'd not embarrass them here by naming them.
