I've got an Argos voucher to use and I need a saw. They seem to sell two, a Wolf REK and a Wilkinson sword 1111169W. Anyone had any experience of these?
Neither, Bahco Laplander FTW
Silky Fox, best bloody saw I've ever used, personally I prefer the 'sheathed' Gomtaro, but they do a number of folders too.
If cheapness is the preferred option, I found the Fiskar's unit great value & the warranty is superb (I phoned asking for a new blade.. they sent a complete new unit FOC)
Or aldi do one now and again if cost is an issue...
Silky "Pocket Boy", comes in 130 and 170mm lengths.
Compact, quality and very capable.
I'm with Mcmoonter. Endorsed by the Ray Mears too IIRC
ARS folder here. The arbo supplier suggested it as an alternative to Felco.
I guesss any of the major names would be ok: none of them would offer a lemon for long.
ive got a silky gomtaro and it cuts so well much better than the cheap lidl one I had before.
It's not a folder though
Bought my son a Bahco and its fab
I got a Fiskars and it's bloody evil.....cuts through 8" diameter trees in mega fast time! My mate who I ride with has folding saw envy ๐
