Following on from the bike weight thread, wouldn't mind knowing what mine weighs. Are the really cheap ones on eBay worth a punt? Digi or analogue?

Don't get a cheap one. Because if you've got one you'll want to weigh your suitcase and the day you're tempted to it'll under-read and you'll pay a fortune in excess baggage.

1. Stand on bathroom scales, note number.

2. Stand on bathroom scales holding suitcase, note number.

3. Subtract the number you got in step 1 from the number you got in step 2

Cheap digital one here that I'm assuming I got from eBay. Bought to do Ryanair baggage but equally good for bikes. Gets used for parcels as well - way more accurate than bathroom scale method but test with a known weight if you don't trust it.

Very useful
