Was going to go to the lakes at the weekend, but on the way to Northallerton. Anyone have a recommendation for a nice place to stay in the Dales for a stroll / pub?
B&B in Reeth, Swaledale, nice pubs, walks, riders etc. Dales Bike Centre just outside the village....

Stayed near Northalerton last year, nice wee place. Is it worth stopping in Reeth? You are nearly there!

Swaledale/Arkengarthdale is very nice - couple of nice pubs to stay in: the CB and the Punch Bowl.
[url= http://goo.gl/maps/3wtZJ ]Conder Farm in Dent[/url] is a cracking if basic campsite. They do a great farmhouse breakfast as well. Plus the George and Dragon in the village is the brewery tap for the Dent brewery.
