Contact Jonathan Silvertown at Edinburgh Uni and ask him to promote it through iSpot for a starter.

Find-a-phd.com is where most of our applications end up coming from.

Find-a-phd is good. And yep, contact the scottish unis- I've passed it on to our (HWU) careers guys but to be honest it's a bit outwith our field so not sure how useful that'll be.

jobs.ac.uk
http://findaphd.com
And post on a relevant jiscmail email list: http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/mailinglists/a-z/index.html

At this time of year most of the best candidates will have been snapped up by universities with research council studentships and/or institutions own programmes. That doesn't mean you won't find a good candidate, though.

I'll post it on our dept's Facebook group if you like.
