Would like to take the missus wild camping and was wondering is there anywhere in the Peaks area or is it Wales or Scotland? Just for a couple of days.

I fully intend on bringing her back....honest!

Any info gratefully received.

The Peak district national park is all privately owned. So long as you get the landowners permission you can camp there. Not really encouraged though as the risk of moorland fires is perceived to be high.

Generally:
England and wales - you have to ask the landowners first. NPA, NT and FC generally have a blanket "no" policy.

Scotland - much more permissive.

Much of the Peak is covered by fire watch warnings at the moment so give it a miss please. You could always get benighted <wink> and bivvy. Lots of good spots on Kinder and Bleaklow. Have bivvied at the back of Cloggy on Snowdon. Quite a few good bivvy sites in the Lakes too. Depends on what you mean by wild camping.... if it is in a bivvy style with little impact no problem, just remember to tidy up after yourself.

I often camp up on Bleaklow for a night.
