there's always the old favorites Pizza hut out the top of truro, up past the hospital, but there are quite a few cafe's and bistro's in the streets, worth using the park and ride too, parking in the town isnt that cheap,

We'll be driving as we have two young children + all the stuff they need and coming straight from the Eden Project.

Yep food is really quite good. Main retaurant is on the ground floor in one of the biospheres towards the "back" of the complex. Not cheap but really quite nice food when I went around 2-3 years ago.

eden's wrong side of truro for the P&R, kids are free on it though so would only cost you adults fare (£1.20 each) for how ever long you want to park! if its over a couple of hours than cheaper paying in town!!

coming from St.Austell side you'll come in down past most the carparks on the edge of the town so should be okay!!
there are a few bistro type places on the Piazza area, and a fair few scattered in the little streets about, a few good pubs inc wetherspoons, there's m&s cafe too, in the panier market there used to be a cracking place for Jacket potatoes etc. just inside the doors,

cant think of any specifically as dont eat in truro very often! 😉

Remortgage your house if you want to eat at the Eden project. I went not so long ago, one of the most expensive days I've had in a while, it's just a big garden centre that over charges on entry and food. Take plenty of money with you as you will need it

The food at Eden is pretty good. Not too expensive the last time I went there.

{Edit}

Having read Mantastic's post I should add it was a few years ago that I went. Prices may have gone up.

The Eden Project is a wee bit more than just a garden centre though...isn't it?

I was seriously in shock at the price but also in how rubbish it was. The old marketing literature it brilliant, the real thing was lacking. Others may enjoy it so don't let my biased opinion put you off.

An interesting view point.

One of my hobbies is exotic gardening (I know this is not everyone's cup of tea) and on some of the forums I visit people have visited Eden and enjoyed it.

However, I do understand that a lot of people are not interested in gardening and plants at all.

I would still like to visit though 🙂

So it's clear - we are coming from St Ives to see Eden Project then back to see my brother at his new house in Truro then (after eating) back to St Ives which is why we need the car! I guess Eden Project to eat is an option, but we wanted to see Truro as it is where my brother now lives.

Surf Mat? Can you help????

MF - sorry was away all weekend.

The best place at the moment by a fair margin is here:

http://www.saffronrestauranttruro.co.uk/

Slightly quirky but very decent and innovative menu.

Bustophers is fairly good but the food is a bit variable:

Family friendly too.

Otherwise it's chains like ASK or fairly average pubs.

Eat at your brothers, be rude not to.

Failing that stop off at Beck's chippy in Lelant.
