Tie-fighter repair shop?

Wind turbine servicing bay?

Has it already been answered and my attempts at humour are even worse than usual? (really no need to answer that one!!!)

Thread hijack and possibly a very dull question. What pen for tracing routes on the OS Explorer Active laminated maps? Currently thinking whiteboard marker but may not be durable enough. Unfortunately don't have one to hand.

Permanent marker and then wipe off with nail varnish remover / isopropyl alcohol etc

Not very permanent then. There's a False Advertising/Trades Description claim awaiting.

Staedtler Lumocolour Permanent OHP pens

https://www.officemonster.co.uk/ohp-pens/staedtler-lumocolor-fine-tip-permanent-ohp-pen-assorted-pack-of-4-318-wp4--4

Cleans off easily with meths.

(White board markers won't do it - I'd be surprised if they survived the map being folded and unfolded.)

Pro tip. The best way to remove permanent marker is to go over it with a non-permanent marker. The solvent that makes non-permanent markers non-permanent will also make permanent markers non-permanent.
