Hi everyone, I'm hoping to go on holiday to do some riding at Glentress. I was planning to leave tomorrow, breaking the journey near Leeds to see some friends.
Is it really as bad as the news/weather forecasters would have us think?
I don't mind a bit of rain but I don't want to be towing if there really are gales.
Thanks
I thought Leeds was presently underwater? EEK!
I think the place I'd least like to be towing in high winds is the M6 over Shap
I think the A1 was partially blocked due to flooding somewhere south of Boroughbridge, but this was expected to clear fairly quickly.
Not sure about the borders (I believe that there are a few flood warnings about), but in central Scotland the wind is beginning to drop already and it has stopped raining, can't imagine there are going to be huge problems by tomorrow ๐
They shut a 40 mile stretch of the A1, J49 all the way to Catterick ๐ฏ
I drove over to Lancaster from Leeds via Skipton, Settle etc and it was a deep in places with some cars having issues.
Round Leeds itself seems ok, just not by rivers or streams
