I'm currently in the "buy cheap, buy twice" situation with portable battery banks...
Had a powermonkey solar thing (cough useless cough), and now my 'pebble' battery thing has given up on me.
Annoyingly, the pebble also has a daft 1.5 mm power plug jack, rather than, oh i don't know, charging off a micro USB that you's have on you anyway...?

SO, recommendations for something to keep on my for when the phone starts to whimper??

I bought an Anker one from Amazon. £20 it's great.
Get about 4 empty to full chargers for my phone from it.
Had it about a year now with no probs

I'm in the market too. Have been looking at units from £15 to £35 and focusing on 6000mAh as they seem only slightly more expensive for the extra charging power. All normal USB /plug charging.

"All normal USB /plug charging"

This is key - i want to use the same cable i 'decharge it' with, to charge the thing!!

Will look at Anker units.

I had one of these bought for me, it's great, holds its charge well, will charge a table a few times over, charges a phone several times.

EDIT

This is key - i want to use the same cable i 'decharge it' with, to charge the thing!!

Anker 10,000

Never mind the quality feel the width 🙂

Off to google those, thats a lot of horse-power for £17, glad I didn't pay £35 at the airport duty free

@cp 22.400mAh what was I thinking of with 6,000 😳

[s]EDIT: DrP where from, Amazon sold out[/s] found them, two differentt Anker units

Many thanks also buying Anker now
