Noticed a sticker on the bottom of my '06 Orange 5's seat tube that says Strange, anyone shed some light on this??

Indeed. I stupidly didn't buy one of the slack, low, long Five/Alpine-esque mash up frames they made a couple of years ago. Sooooo much fun!
A lot of Orange's used to have 'Strange' stickers on them even when they were bog standard (got an old Patriot here with one on). It was just part of their marketing stuff for years.
Geniune prototype 'Strange' bikes tend to have big labelling on the downtube and no Orange badges e.g:
