I think I'm finally bored of Slayer's 'Reign in Blood'.

Municipal Waste, The Thermals, Surfer Blood, Luscious Jackson and errr.....Carter USM are still serving me well though.

Nothing. I don't want to end up oblivious to cyclists coming up the towpath behind me shouting at the top of their lungs.

Do you not feel terribly claustrophobic being unable to perceive anything behind you?

Things behind you which are going faster than you and about to overtake are actually rather important 🙂

Hopeless Records Sampler (kiddie punk from the mid 90s NYC)

I used to buy loads of stuff on Hopeless when i was a teen (30 now)...

They seem to trade exclusively in dodgy fauxmo now, but they used to have Dillinger Four, 88 fingers Louie, Digger (when they were still good), Samian, Scared of Chaka and all manner of high octane goodness.

I run on footpaths in suburban West Bournemouth by and large.

Rarely encounter any cyclists as I run very early in the morning/late at night. Loads of runners around here though.

Podrunner podcasts. Free, consistent bpm and there are new ones often enough to not get bored of them.

Radio Soulwax or some other mashup mix.

Bit of birdsong, and the thud thwack thud thwack of runners with mp3 players oblivious to the noise their feet are making 🙂
But last time I used one, either those podrunner ones mentioned, chemical brothers, or the doves on one regular route, where I'd get to know if I was faster or slower by where I was when certain tracks finished.

I always run with music on - but it is all on pavements so no risk of bikes coming up behind me. I always treble-check when crossing side-roads though.

Front Line Assembly all the way.

All most makes the tradmill bearable, this country boy doesn't cope too well running in the city! There's like other people about.
