Spare pants.

If I'd been asked this question yesterday, the genuine reply would have been used pants.

We played this at work a while back when a woman in my team decided the vase she'd bought that day was a pretty random thing to have in her handbag. IIRC my bag contained a couple of pairs of pants and socks, 2 broken door latches and a V5 for a car I'd scrapped about 5 years before.

Fountain pens x 2 + ink

Never was a truer word uttered. You'll go far.

Now if I only had a way to tell the difference between my Bison and my Buffalo.

Every day:
* Jimi wallet (one debit card, some notes)
* inhaler
* packed lunch box
* (plus phone and keys in pocket, bike helmet on head, jacket)

Every day in winter:
* waterproof trousers, unless I'm wearing them

Monday in and Friday out:
* work 'shoes'

Occasionally:
* student work to be marked

I don't like carrying much, so I have computer, pens, etc. at home and at work, and my bike lock lives at work. It's only a 15 minute ride each way, so I don't bother with special bike clothes or getting changed/washed at work (other than my shoes).
