3rd. May, and a few of us skied the runs of Cairngorm mt. All day, enjoying really good snow conditions. Bit icy in places, a couple of centimetres of powder first thing, a hail storm later on but all good fun.

Yesterday we even managed to ski down to the carpark. which included stepping the skies over a few bits of heather. Walking a mountain footpath in skiboots is not advisable but it's an experience that I'll always remember. To complete the days enjoyment we saw a a pair of 'golden eagles' and a ptarmigan in his spring plummage.

I'm now ready for a really early night 🙂

Cool!
I did some painting, went down the pub, and have just come back from a slightly drunken run.

Worked half the day, then humped half-rotted compost around the garden, and cleaned bikes, and cooked.

I want to watch a black belt grading that I should have been taking part in. What stopped me? That would be the AC separation on the left shoulder I sustained while practising on Saturday!

Wish I'd stayed in bed all weekend now.

Glentress red and then blue on the singlespeed this morning. Then home for lunch, followed by a trip to the local VW dealer for a "look". Ended up test driving two cars and now very close to buying something. Not a bad bank holiday!

Cheers bunnyhop.

Nothing major Az, just an OTB (albeit in slow-mo) on the d/h, aggravting the old skatepool injury . . . I swear that log wasn't across the trail last time 🙄

I was up early to take my parents to the coach station ( I'm house/cat sitting for them for the next 5 days).

Did the weeks shopping, and came back and painted the stable that I am converting to a workshop.

<smugness>
Only another 4 weeks of holiday left.

Did the red then black (black for my first time) at Glentress - what a blast! The climbs on the black were relentless but worth it for the descents and Deliverence is awesome. I want more why does time go so quick when out biking 😕

Rode the Aberfoyle SXC circuit in the morning (last year's version)

Had leftover Lamb and Beetroot Stew for lunch.

Went climbing this evening and watched the sun set over West Fife.

Currently drinking a lovely red (a Gran Reserva from Valencia).

Bed soon...

You bloody liar you are! You accidentally set your Strimmer alight with a bottle of meths and a lit fag.

I invoked the Great God Pan.

It was rather pleasant actually; we chatted about the weather and the up coming General Election, had a cup of tea and a piece of lemon drizzle cake, then he pooped of to find some souls to torment.

it was my birthday day yesterday. i'd saved up one pound.

no, really- spent all morning doing nowt at the gf's flat then went home at lunchtime cos she was working a late shift. then spent all afternoon doing nowt at my flat cos none of my mates were up for riding anywhere and i was quite tired after a pretty busy weekend anyway. i'd done stuff the rest of the weekend though, so a rest/recovery day yesterday was allowed...

We tried to ride off road from Phillips Park in Manchester (Hit The North area) to Jumbles Reservoir in Bolton.

It can almost be done, but some bits are very, very cheeky indeed.....
