I keep getting emails and texts signed off with "J", and not even from people whose name starts with J.
What does it meeeeeean??? And why the hell has it suddenly appeared? I presume it's some sort of post-smiley smiley... Is it something to do with iPhones?
Thanks, J
No idea about texts, but on emails sometimes it's a smiley face sent by outlook being displayed in something that doesn't understand it
[s]J[/s] 🙂
What retro83 said, never seen it in texts, but you can blame Outlook for it in emails.
Perhaps people now associate it with a smiley, and hence put it in texts. 'Language' evolution in progress. Or a meme.
That makes sense - I'm a Mac Mail kinda guy...
Thanks all, I'll sleep better tonight.
J
If you write an e-mail using outlook, depending upon the format of the mail, it will substitute a text based emoticon, such as : -) with the correcponding wingdings symbol - or j.
I have to admit to finding this post rather amusing given the OPs user name.......
It means they are calling you Jey
