Does anyone remember what theses toys were called?

1) ball with a Saturns ring disc around it. You stood on the ring and bounced up and down.

2) ball on the end of a string. You attached the string to you ankle and swung in round, while jumping over the ball/string. Posh ones had a counter in the ball.

Only if you hit the ball that was spinning round your ankle with a plastic tennis bat 😆

it is, quite logically, a skip ball

1. Also called a 'trimball'. Fell off one as a kid and broke my arm.

1/ I used to use very successful to build up ankle muscles; not necessary to bounce, just balance.

Number 1 were known as Jump Jumpers, think that was perhaps a brand name?

Brilliant! Once again STW saves another BBQ from potential argument outbreak. Cheers!

OK then. What was the toy called that had a hard plastic rugby ball shaped thing on a great long length of string? A child at each end had a pair of handles, and when you pulled these handles apart quickly, the 'rugby ball' shot down to the person at the other end and smashed their knuckles in!
Hours of pointless fun.

Skip-it was like number 2, but was a "wheel and counter" device!

They were lethal. Me and my big bro used to have that "projectile" moving at near lightspeed. ( ok, I was 10 at the time and prone to exaggeration )

They should release it with veritable weights as an exercise toy for [s]fat[/s] kids. I remember my arms and chest killing in pain after 20 mins of that.
