Not for me, otherwise Id be wearing shoes that indicate myself as being a depraved drunken drug addled wreck.

Aha, so in that case, that'd be....

I always assumed your taste in trainers was locked into whatever you loved when you were about 18, and never changed from that point onwards.

True for me.

I have a rather large collection of Adidas Superstar II's
All in use, but rarely as I have a lot of them.
I have owned no other type for the last 30 years 🙂

went through a phase when i was a lot younger of buying ridiculously expensive and fancy trainers...

reasonably comfy but would always fall apart...the shocks needed Kashima coating i reckon...

i went through 6 pairs of these in six months (all returned for replacements)...the air cushion would always come loose and start to squeak...

but during this same period i had many pairs of DC shoes and many other pairs that were good...these are my current faves

and these...

I'm on my second pair of these [img] [/img]

really comfortable and light.

I also have a pair of these that get worn for rare nights out where shoes aren't needed...
[img] [/img] paid far too much for them though in a French ski resort.

I seem to be able to make a pair of trainers last at least 4 years.

Only Tigers will do. Jesus, some of the suggestions folks- how old are you?!!!

Loving those Reebok pump badboys however nowadays you need to be young to rock around in them retro-bad thangs (skinny jeans etc).

As a trend setter I wear this ... because someone suggested that Clarks are lame so here I go to become metrosexual. 😆

Bought from TK Maxx for £40 ... Keen Ambler Mesh and yes it is in red (actually for £40 at this quality I would wear purple if force but not pink). Beautiful! Very comfortable. Not exactly trainer for running.

For those who like the subtle, unadorned type of skate shoe, I bought a pair of these today:

Vans Churchill, £45 from Schuh, in Bath. My favourite type of skate shoe.

To paraphrase Zefod Beeblebrox, I'm so unhip it's amazing my legs don't fall off, but I have been wearing these almost daily for 3 years and they are still super comfy and hardly showing signs of wear, still waterproof too!
