Utterly bored with the crap on normal TV. I like scandi drama, line of duty and enjoyed the replacement. What's worth a gander?
Ta
If you haven't watched Breaking Bad you need to - the whole lot, every episode!
It's as good as the hype (in my opinion of course!).
Scandi drama? Vikings ftw \o/ 😆
Loads on Channel 4's Walter Presents, if that floats your boat obviously.
Lillyhammer is doing it for me ATM not exactly what you're after but i find it funny. Also starting to watch Iron Fist on Netflix. First two episodes have been ok.
Witless, on BBC3 via iplayer.
Gangland comedy set in Swindon!
Yes, CG is right - it's all about All4:
Acquitted
The Outlaws
The Swingers
Dicte
Spin
Beauty & the Baker
Amazon - Goliath, Startup, Sneaky Pete
Netflix - Rita, Suits
Amazon.
Vikings, earlier series were better.
Walking dead
Red road, only two series.
I robot
Just started, taken, based as a prequel to the neeson films.
sneaky Pete.
Startup was good but looks like it heads nowhere as a 2nd series hasn't been commissioned.
Gomorrah
(We bought the 2nd series but personally i thought the 1st series free with Prime was the better)
Also, if you look really, really, really hard there is a Scandi TV thread on the very front page of the forum 😆 😉
Netflix
Making of a Murderer.
Orange is the New Black
+1 Bloodline.
Netflix...
The Expanse
It's always sunny in philadelphia
Santa clarita diet
Look who's back - film
On Amazon Black Sails and Vikings. Bosch is also pretty good for a cop drama and I second all the votes for Goliath.
Netflix has Making of a Murderer, the Marvel series Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist which are all good switch brain off fare.
If you can grab Now TV then Fortitude, The Night of and The Young Pope are all worth watching.
We are enjoying The Man In The High Castle. Loads of holes in it but it's kept us gripped.
No idea who the goodies are.
Fortitude
Last Man on Earth
Netflix
Breaking Bad
House of Cards
Dexter
The OA
Start up, on Netflix, Just watched The Outlaws on Walter was great, House of Cards is brilliant too.
Bosch on Prime, new season coming soon too
Netflix-
Penny dreadful
Dusk till Dawn series
Orange is the New Black
Amazon:
Goliath
Bosch.
Bit formulaic, but I really like it.
Narcos on Netflix is good, only just got it so not really got many more recommendations
Patriot on Amazon is good if you like slightly deranged, really dark humour. It is similar in style to Fargo but bleaker.......
Enjoying Rita on Netflix too. Again, slightly dark Danish comedy.
Sant Clara Diet is awful. Absolutely painful to watch. Avoid
American Odyssey
Designated Survivor
The Dirk Gentlys
The Good Wife
Oh yeah.... Narcos is bloody brilliant too!
Vikings, earlier series were better.
Agreed. This has been my bobbins tv of choice for the last month or so. Just started on series 4 and by christ it's gone downhill.
Sons of Anarchy
What have you opted for then?
Contrary to other posters I liked Santa Clarita Diet. (darkly) silly and laugh out loud. I guess it depends how grown up you are.
Netflix :- The OA, The Get Down ( if you're a hip hop fan), Lilyhammer, Marseille, Californication, Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad then Better Call Saul, House Of Cards, Orange is the new black, Bloodline, Narcos.....all highlights for me
Amazon Prime - so far only watched Man in the High Castle - excellent series
LEGION. Sorry I didn't mean to shout but LEGION! It's nothing like scandi drama but LEGION!!!
Legion is nuts, but not on Netflix or Amazon. Well not as part of prime subscription, anyway.
Yeah forgot about Narcos. Bloody brilliantly!
I also really liked Peaky Blinders
All those with Amazon, give Mr Robot a go. Bit techy but very good and you end up watching three episodes in one go.
I forgot Sense 8 on Netflix . Worth a look
For something a bit different try Prisoners of War (the original series that Homeland was based on) and The Bureau - really gripping french spy thriller with the rare thing that season 2 is better than 1.
Both are subtitled obviously if that bothers you.
Save the pain with Breaking Bad, watch 1St and 4th episode of first series then last episode of last series...the rest you can avoid as those 3 sum it all up and explain it all.
The detectorists is on Netflix and brilliant
Better Call Saul is back on Netflix on April 11 😀
