Evening

Having a bit of a storage cull and came across 4 boxes of vids.
Not sure what to do with them - I know charity shops won't take them but seems criminal just binning them. Some superb films:
Buffalo 66, Taxi Driver, Pulp Fiction, Kes, Trainspotting, A Clockwork Orange, Brassed Off, Don't Look Now, Big Lebowski, Casino, Blue Velvet, The Exorcist and Twin Town being a small selection.
Any ideas?
I could be persuaded to part with all 4 large boxes of them if someone still had a video player and wanted them in exchange for a donation to MacMillan (pick up from my gaff in Loughborough)...just a thought.

Cheers

Sad as it is, they're for the tip.

I had the same dilemma a while back. At our local recycling centre, even the resident Hi-Vis Trolls didn't want them.

Gutting, but there you go. I'm now having the same argument with myself over my Laserdisc collection.

Cougar has it I'm afraid. Can you not just give em to a charity shop to sell themselves?

Charity shops won't take them as they don't sell and cost money to dispose of. There are a few specialist recycling centres that can take them and recycle them properly. Don't just landfill them if you can avoid it.

Guessing no one's got a video player anymore then ๐Ÿ˜‰

Can you not just give em to a charity shop to sell themselves?
They're not interested as there's just no demand for them anymore, so not sure what you mean.

Certainly more of a market for audio cassette tape these days than video tape. In fact, you might be able to shift 8-Track cassettes more readily!
Find the skip at your local recycling centre and dump 'em.
