[Closed] What to do with R/C chopper?

Sorting out the garage and rediscovered my old R/C helicopter. Basically about 5-6 years ago I went and bought one on a complete whim. I took it outside for it's maiden flight and promptly took off, flipped it upside down and broke the swash plates. After realising it would cost at least £20 to fix I figured it could be a very expensive hobby and promptly shoved it in the loft and forgot about it.

I've no intention of trying to get it running again, but can the radio gear be used for anything else? I assume controller would work with any kits e.g. car/boat? Any recommendation for decent kits about £100 - I'd prefer that to assembled?
