Other than hang them on Amazon and hope for the best.

My work has around £120 of low denomination stamps - 1p, 2p, 5p and 20p. We thought when we cashed them in for the new barcode ones we could get then converted to the equivalent values worth of 1st and 2nd but no. They are only exchanged like for like.

We very rarely post stuff out anymore and when we do they’re franked or just sent with a 1st or 2nd stamp - no more making up the difference in pence.

So, any ideas what to do with them? We don’t want money for them - does anyone know of a charity or similar that could make use of them?

Charities take used ones so I imagine they’d be more than happy with un used ones. Give your local one of choice a call and ask?

The form for cashing in old stamps is really simple, just add them up and send them in. Send them to me and I'll do it!

If you're franking mail and using stamps then you are at least sending some mail -  just don't frank them or put 1st/2nd class stamps on them - put stamps on to the value of what you're posting and use them up. A first class stamp costs nearly a quid so £120 would get used up fairly quickly- even quicker if you have one or two parcels to send.

It'll amuse a recipient to get a lefter with 95 stamps on it.

An aBayer won't have any qualms about using lots of stamps if they were getting legit stamps for less than face value - you could stick them on ebay, set up so the proceeds donate to charity. make sure you keep 95 stamps aside for posting them to the lucky recipient
